In this video interview, Matt Gutierrez, Director of Marketing for ARC Processors and IP Subsystems, Synopsys, and Mike Thompson, Sr. PMM for ARC Processors, Synopsys, discuss industry trends in processor IP and give an overview of the DesignWare® ARC® processor family that help engineers accelerate their innovation for embedded and deeply-embedded applications.
About the Speakers
Matt Gutierrez joined Synopsys in 2000 and is currently the Director of Marketing for Synopsys’ Solutions Group. In this capacity, his primary responsibilities include the worldwide marketing of Synopsys’ ARC Processor and IP Subsystem product lines. Prior to joining Synopsys, Mr. Gutierrez held various technical and management positions with companies such as Cypress Semiconductor, Fujitsu Limited, and The Silicon Group. Mr. Gutierrez has over 24 years of experience in the semiconductor, computer systems and EDA industries and holds an MSEE from The University of Texas at Austin.
Mike Thompson is the senior manager of product marketing for ARC processors at Synopsys where he is responsible for the HS family and signal processing solutions. Mike has more than 30 years of experience in both the design and support of microprocessors, microcontrollers, IP cores and the development of embedded applications and tools. He has worked previously for Virage Logic, Actel, MIPS, ZiLOG, Philips/Signetics and AMD. He has a BSEE from Northern Illinois University and an MBA from Santa Clara University.
